Effective August 17, 2026 · LiftLock for iOS

The short version

LiftLock has no required accounts, no ads, and no trackers. Your Screen Time activity is never read, collected, or transmitted. The only data that leaves your phone is your own workout content, backed up under a random identifier.

Screen Time

LiftLock uses Apple's Screen Time (Family Controls) framework to shield apps during workouts. Apple's design means LiftLock cannot see which apps you use, how long you use them, or even the names of the apps you pick as exceptions. Shielding happens entirely on your device, and you can revoke access anytime in Settings → Screen Time.

What we store

This data lives on your device and is mirrored to our backup service (Supabase, US region) under a random device identifier so a reinstall can restore it. Signing in with Apple is optional — it links your devices so history follows you to a new iPhone. Without it, nothing is linked to any identity at all.

What we never collect

Deletion

Deleting the app deletes all local data. To purge the backup too — or unlink Sign in with Apple everywhere — email us the request and we'll remove it. You can also revoke LiftLock's Apple ID access in Settings → Apple ID → Sign-In & Security.
